Canadian author and educator. Born in Saskatchewan in 1931. Moved with family to British Columbia in 1943. Educated at the University of British Columbia, University of Washington and Gonzaga University. Published works include Resignation; Canada, the franchise and universal suffrage; and Study of historical injustice to Japanese Canadians.
Fonds consists of correspondence, preliminary work and research material relating to the novel Resignation, manuscripts of the novel and other miscellaneous material. Resignation dramatizes the issue of the relocation and seizure of property of Japanese Canadians during World War II.
Acquired in 1979 and 1982. Third accession donated by A.C. Scantland in 1987.
